Auti-ms know all about the difficulties faced by autistic girls in the classroom because we were those girls.
Led by Auti-Ms trustee Lorraine Gregory, a teacher with 30+ years experience within the primary phase and also a mum to an autistic daughter, these workshops combine our own experiences and recent research to empower teachers and school leaders to identify and support autistic girls in the classroom.
We can help you to :
- Understand what autism is and the difficulties autistic individuals face in a busy school environment.
- Identify behaviour traits common to autistic girls.
- Identify simple adaptations to classroom practice which will enable autistic girls to thrive.
